This role involves administrative and program analysis duties within a federal agency, offering opportunities at GS-9 and GS-11 levels.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Analyze programs to measure performance and efficiency.
- Manage budget and personnel actions, including preparing requests, updating spreadsheets, and conducting new employee orientations.
- Coordinate office logistics, including moves, telephone services, and vehicle monitoring.
- Problem-solve and advise staff on workflow and office procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor administrative projects (e.g., budget, personnel, travel, logistics).
- Analyze data to identify trends, develop estimates, and prepare reports.
- Develop new or modified administrative program methods to enhance customer service.
- *Qualifications:**
- *Experience Requirements:**
- **GS-9 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-7, performing duties like assisting senior specialists in program analysis, preparing budget/personnel requests, coordinating office logistics, and analyzing workflow.
- **GS-11 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-9, performing duties like coordinating administrative projects, analyzing data for trends/reports, and developing new administrative procedures.
- *Note:* Your resume must clearly detail how you meet these experience requirements. Volunteer experience is credited.
- *Education Substitution:**
- **GS-9 Level:** Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (e.g., 36 semester/54 quarter hours).
- **GS-11 Level:** Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (e.g., 54 semester/81 quarter hours).
- Proof of education is required from an accredited institution.
- *Combining Education and Experience:**
- You may combine qualifying education and experience to meet requirements. Each must be converted to a percentage, with a combined total of at least 100%.
- *Additional Requirements:**
- **Time in Grade:** Current federal employees must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent) by 08/14/2025.
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory for this federal law enforcement agency. This includes questions about criminal history and drug use.
- **Residency:** For non-CBP employees, you must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government work or study abroad.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
- **CTAP Eligibility:** If applicable, you must meet CTAP eligibility requirements and score at least 85 for this position.
