Summary
Lead federal mechanical engineering projects, innovate system designs, and manage critical maintenance contracts for facility operations.
We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead and innovate within our federal facilities. This role involves overseeing complex mechanical systems, driving project lifecycles, and managing critical contracts.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee planning and utilization initiatives for building mechanical system renovations and operations.
- Develop and implement innovative engineering methods for the design of mechanical utility systems.
- Collaborate and provide recommendations on mechanical engineering programs and projects, including planning, design, budgeting, acquisition, contracting, scheduling, construction, repairs, and building commissioning.
- Manage contracts for Building Commissioning and various multi-year preventive maintenance and repair (e.g., mechanical, electronic, HVAC, plumbing, telecommunications support systems).
- *Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a combination of education and experience as defined by OPM professional engineering standards.
- **Experience (GS-14 equivalent):** One year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent, demonstrating proficiency in:
