About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Engineer (GS-13 level) to lead and manage complex materials engineering initiatives. This role involves providing expert technical guidance, leading innovative research, and overseeing project execution for advanced materials solutions.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical guidance and recommendations for the design and development of materials engineering solutions.
- Lead and drive research initiatives to advance materials engineering technologies and methodologies.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage intricate materials engineering projects, defining scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet both Basic and Minimum Qualification requirements by the closing date. All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be considered.Basic Requirements (One of the following):
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a school with at least one ABET-accredited program.
- Combination of Education & Experience: College-level education, training, or technical experience demonstrating a thorough knowledge of physical/mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and a good understanding of engineering sciences and their applications.
Minimum Qualifications (for GS-13 Level):
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, performing duties such as:
Salary: Starting at $120,579.00 annually.
