Job Description
Summary
Provide senior-level analytical insight and strategic planning for workforce management and human capital initiatives at CBP.
This role provides senior-level analytical support and strategic planning for workforce management and human capital initiatives at U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide analytical insights to senior leaders on organizational planning.
- Conduct special studies and develop/evaluate internal workforce policies.
- Offer technical assistance for workforce data management systems and programs.
- Develop comprehensive long-range hiring plans.
- Facilitate efficient vacancy filling and personnel action execution.
- *Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade level, performing duties similar to those listed above. Your resume must explicitly demonstrate this experience.
- **Grade Level:** Qualifies for GS-13.
- **Residency:** For non-CBP employees, physical residency in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years is required. Exceptions apply for U.S. government service or sponsored programs abroad.
- **Background Investigation:** A thorough background investigation, covering criminal history and drug use, is mandatory for this federal law enforcement agency.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees typically serve a one-year probationary period.
- **Federal Employees:** Current federal employees must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade) by September 23, 2025.
