Job Description
Oversee and enhance federal trade system capabilities (ACE) through requirements management, trade analysis, and project oversight.
This role involves assessing and enhancing the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) by leveraging expertise in trade programs, regulations, and IT project management within a federal agency.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) capabilities, aligning them with trade laws, regulations, and policies.
* Manage the full lifecycle of requirements for new ACE development projects and system enhancements, including gathering, documentation, and oversight.
* Conduct specialized studies and analyses on trade impacts affecting existing ACE systems.
* Apply various management tools and methodologies (e.g., databases, Excel, project planning) to resolve complex issues in planning, evaluation, and control.
**Required Qualifications:**
* **Experience:** Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 federal grade level, performing duties similar to those outlined above.
* **Technical Skills:** Demonstrated proficiency with management tools such as databases, Excel, OneNote, project planning tools, and program management methodologies.
* **U.S. Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years, or qualify for an exception.
* **Background Investigation:** Ability to successfully pass a thorough federal background investigation.
* **Probationary Period:** Willingness to serve a one-year probationary period if new to federal government employment.
