Summary
Policy Analyst sought to develop, evaluate, and coordinate federal programs, requiring specialized experience and background clearance.
This role involves critical policy development, analytical support, and strategic planning within a federal agency. We are seeking a highly experienced professional to contribute to significant program areas.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and evaluate policies across assigned program areas.
- Plan and conduct specialized studies and analytical projects.
- Provide expert analytical support and advice on problem definition, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures to office staff.
- Lead the planning, development, and coordination of management presentations, briefings, and conferences for executive leadership.
- Prepare comprehensive comments and impact statements.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade level. This experience must clearly demonstrate proficiency in developing policies, conducting studies, providing analytical support, coordinating management activities, and preparing impact statements.
- **Background Investigation:** Ability to successfully pass a thorough background investigation conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), including inquiries into criminal history and illegal drug use.
- **U.S. Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government-related work (military/civilian), dependents of U.S. government personnel, study abroad, or U.S. government support roles.
- **Resume Requirements:** Your resume must explicitly detail how you meet the specialized experience requirement.
- **Federal Applicants:** Current or former federal employees must meet "Time in Grade" requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent) by the application deadline.
- **New Federal Employees:** Will serve a one-year probationary period.
- **Volunteer Experience:** All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, is recognized and credited.
