Seeking a Security Specialist to manage, analyze, and ensure compliance with security programs for a federal law enforcement agency.

We are seeking professionals who can apply advanced security controls, conduct detailed compliance inspections, and effectively communicate complex security principles.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure and apply appropriate security controls for resources.
- Research and analyze information to identify security trends and make recommendations.
- Explain challenging compliance requirements and complex security concepts.
- Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and assets to validate security program compliance.
- Implement and coordinate security strategies, advising senior management on solutions (GS-13).
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on security principles, laws, and regulations (GS-13).
- Plan and guide security program reviews with minimal oversight (GS-13).
- *Qualifications:**
- **GS-12:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11, performing duties such as applying security controls, analyzing security information, explaining compliance, and conducting inspections.
- **GS-13:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12, performing duties such as implementing security strategies, advising senior management, discussing program needs with stakeholders, and overseeing security reviews.
- Ability to successfully complete an online assessment, meeting or exceeding the required cut score.
- Successful completion of a thorough background investigation by a federal law enforcement agency (CBP).
- U.S. residency requirement: Must have resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years (waivers possible).
- New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
