Summary

Manage and consult on federal workforce human resources, performance, and organizational development, requiring specialized experience.

  • *Workforce Management Specialist (GS-12/13)**
Join our federal law enforcement agency to support critical human resources and workforce management functions. We are seeking dedicated professionals with experience in managing talent, performance, and organizational structure.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • **At the GS-12 Level:**
* Act as a liaison for workforce initiatives. * Support employee performance management processes. * Review and update position descriptions. * Administer employee awards and recognition. * Communicate effectively in writing and presentations.
  • **At the GS-13 Level (building on GS-12 responsibilities):**
* Serve as a consultant to resolve complex workforce and staffing challenges. * Lead coordination and troubleshooting for performance management activities. * Develop new position descriptions for evolving roles. * Manage comprehensive employee award programs. * Analyze data to create briefings for senior leadership.

  • *Qualifications:**
  • **GS-12:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, demonstrating proficiency in workforce management support, performance assistance, position description review, and employee awards.
  • **GS-13:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, including experience as a consultant for complex workforce issues, coordinating performance management, developing new position descriptions, and managing award programs.
  • *Note:* Relevant paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work, will be credited. Federal employees must meet Time in Grade requirements by 09/22/2025.
  • *Additional Requirements:**
  • **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory.
  • **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government service.
  • **Probationary Period:** A one-year probationary period is required for new federal employees.
