Summary

Analyze data, create reports, and develop forecasting models to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection leadership.

Join U.S. Customs and Border Protection as an Analyst, playing a critical role in supporting USBP programs and workforce through data-driven insights. This position requires strong analytical and reporting skills to inform leadership decisions.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Prepare comprehensive analytical reports, memoranda, and technical documents regarding USBP programs and workforce.
  • Select and adapt data collection and application techniques to ensure accurate and timely analysis.
  • Analyze funding data and assess the statistical limitations of collected information.
  • Generate, modify, and present biweekly reports, clearly communicating findings to USBP leadership.
  • Develop innovative and efficient reports to address both recurring and ad hoc informational needs.
  • Create forecasting models to support strategic planning efforts.
  • *Requirements:**
  • **Experience:** A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade level. This experience must demonstrate proficiency in performing duties similar to those listed above. All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, is considered.
  • **Federal Service:** Current federal employees must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent) by 11/12/2025.
  • **Resume:** Your resume must explicitly detail how you meet the specialized experience requirements.
  • **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory for employment with this federal law enforcement agency.
  • **Residency:** Applicants not currently employed by CBP must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government service abroad.
  • **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period upon initial appointment.
