Job Description
Summary
Seeking a seasoned professional to direct, plan, and advise on major agency programs and policies at the GS-14 level.
This position requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, demonstrating proficiency in:
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing significant agency mission or administrative programs.
- Planning and conducting special studies; providing authoritative advice to Headquarters management.
- Developing and evaluating policies in assigned program areas.
- Providing technical assistance and direct support for planning systems and management programs.
- Coordinating planning management through executive briefings and presentations.
- *Additional Requirements:**
- **Experience:** Relevant paid and unpaid (volunteer) experience is considered.
- **Federal Employees:** Must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at GS-13 or equivalent).
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation is required for this federal law enforcement agency (U.S. Customs and Border Protection).
- **U.S. Residency:** Applicants not currently employed by CBP must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years (exceptions for U.S. government-related overseas work/study apply).
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
