Oversee CBP acquisition programs, managing implementation, performance analysis, and senior-level communication, requiring GS-14 specialized experience.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a dedicated professional to manage and optimize critical acquisition programs. This role is central to ensuring effective resource allocation and strategic alignment within the agency.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Implement, coordinate, and oversee CBP acquisition programs, including policy development and technical guidance.
- Monitor management information systems to track program data, assess performance, and optimize resource allocation.
- Prepare comprehensive briefings, presentations, and whitepapers for senior staff.
- Apply data analysis and risk assessment techniques to evaluate program results and support acquisition decisions.
- Manage all phases of test activities, ensuring systems meet requirements and advising on process improvements.
- *Requirements:**
- **Experience:** Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level, explicitly detailed on your resume.
- Meet all qualification requirements, including applicable Time in Grade for federal employees (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent by 09/25/2025).
- *General Federal Requirements:**
- **Background Investigation:** Successfully complete a thorough background investigation.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years (exceptions may apply).
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
- **Political Appointees:** Disclosure required if a current or former political appointee within the last 5 years.
- **CTAP Eligibility:** If applicable, must meet specific requirements and achieve a minimum score of 85.
