Summary
Provide strategic analytical support, policy development, and organizational effectiveness for senior leadership within a federal agency.
Join U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as a key contributor providing strategic operational support and analysis to senior leadership. This role focuses on organizational effectiveness, policy development, and human capital management.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Advise on financial impact statements, organizational structure, and program efficiency, eliminating functional overlap.
- Provide senior leaders with analytical insights into organizational data and structures.
- Research and respond to various high-level inquiries and directives from senior leadership.
- Develop and evaluate internal policies within assigned program areas.
- Coordinate with Human Resources to facilitate effective vacancy filling and personnel reassignments.
- *Requirements & Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** Possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal level, demonstrating the ability to perform the duties listed above.
- **Federal Employees:** Must meet applicable Time-in-Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent).
- **Background Investigation:** Ability to pass a thorough background investigation as required by this federal law enforcement agency.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. Government service or study abroad.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
