Coordinate facility management, develop program tracking tools, and conduct specialized studies for a federal agency.
Join U.S. Customs and Border Protection as a Facilities and Program Management Specialist (GS-12). This role involves strategic oversight and coordination for facility lifecycle management, leveraging data and planning tools to achieve organizational objectives.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Recommend and implement processes to optimize facility management and maintenance.
- Plan, develop, and coordinate comprehensive record-keeping for projects and programs.
- Design and implement planning and control tools to track project and program data effectively.
- Conduct special studies and surveys supporting non-construction related phases of facility lifecycle management.
- *Qualifications & Requirements:**
- **Experience:** Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, demonstrating proficiency in facility management, program coordination, data tracking, and special studies. (All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, is credited).
- **Federal Eligibility:** Must meet all applicable federal qualification requirements, including Time in Grade (if a current federal employee).
- **Background Investigation:** Ability to pass a thorough background investigation required by a federal law enforcement agency, including inquiries into criminal history and drug use.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. (Specific exceptions may apply for U.S. government service or study abroad).
- **Probationary Period:** Willingness to serve a one-year probationary period, as required for new federal government employees.
