Manage property and inventory records, analyze supply needs, and ensure compliance within a federal law enforcement agency.

Responsibilities:
GS-11 Level:
- Participate in inventory management and support local property officers and inventory takers.
- Enter and review personal property records in Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP).
- Compile inventory records for analysis and long/short-term supply needs projection.
- Collect data to report on fund status, identify conflicting requirements, and achieve resource goals.
GS-12 Level (Includes GS-11 duties, with increased complexity and oversight):
- Oversee inventory management; serve as local property officer and inventory taker.
- Ensure the accuracy of personal property records in SAP.
- Perform supply research for new/unique suppliers and resolve complex supply issues.
- Identify inventory deficiencies and project long/short-term supply needs.
- Project fund status for purchases, resolve conflicting requirements, set goals, and prioritize resources.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- GS-11: One year of specialized experience at the GS-10 level, performing duties such as those listed for GS-11.
- GS-12: One year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level, performing duties such as those listed for GS-12.
- Volunteer experience contributing relevant competencies, knowledge, and skills will be credited.
Education (GS-11 Only - may substitute for experience or be combined):
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
- or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree (e.g., 54 semester hours).
- or an LL.M. degree (if related).
General Requirements:
- Resume: Your resume must explicitly demonstrate how you meet all qualification requirements.
- Background Investigation: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires all applicants to undergo a thorough background investigation.
- Residency: Generally, applicants not currently employed by CBP must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply.
- Probationary Period: New federal government employees must serve a one-year probationary period.
- Time in Grade: Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent by 10/10/2025.
- Political Appointee Disclosure: Required for current or former political appointees within the last 5 years.
