Summary

Seeking an IT Specialist (GS-12) to drive software quality, manage risks, and recommend technology for robust solutions.

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist (GS-12) to enhance software quality, manage risks, and recommend innovative technologies. This role involves critical analysis and strategic implementation to ensure robust and scalable software solutions.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • **Software Quality Improvement:** Assess and implement new system design methodologies to enhance and maintain high-quality, robust, scalable, and maintainable software.
  • **Customer Requirements:** Accurately understand, analyze, and represent customer needs, ensuring requirements are validated and aligned with project goals.
  • **Software Risk Management:** Effectively identify, prioritize, measure, and mitigate software development risks, continuously monitoring for potential threats.
  • **Methodology Recommendations:** Evaluate and present data-driven recommendations for adopting new methodologies and technologies.
  • *Required Qualifications (GS-12 Equivalent):**

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, demonstrating the following:

  • Experience improving software quality through assessing new system design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in understanding, analyzing, and representing customer needs for software development.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and measure software development risks, including developing mitigation strategies.
  • Expertise in evaluating and recommending new methodologies and technologies with supporting data.
  • *Essential Skills & Competencies (2210 Series):**

Your experience must be IT-related and demonstrate proficiency in all four core competencies:

  • **Attention to Detail:** Thorough and conscientious in all work tasks.
  • **Customer Service:** Assess needs, provide information/assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations of clients and customers.
