International Relations Specialist

Join a federal agency in a pivotal role shaping international policy and security initiatives. This position requires expertise in foreign affairs and cross-border collaboration.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Represent the agency in high-level policy discussions, influencing mission and regional objectives.
• Lead collaborative efforts with international partners to develop and assess border security and crisis action strategic plans.
• Manage comprehensive program implementation, including administrative, financial, and managerial tasks, engaging diverse domestic and foreign stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver clear, concise oral and written briefings, offering well-supported recommendations to senior officials.
• *Qualifications:**
• **Specialized Experience:** Minimum one year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, performing duties similar to those listed above.
• **Basic Requirement (One of the following):**

* A bachelor's degree (or 24 semester hours) in international law/relations, political science, economics, history, sociology, geography, anthropology, law, statistics, or humanities. * A combination of related education and appropriate professional experience. * Four years of experience in international organizations, foreign affairs, or related fields.

• **Additional Requirements:**

* U.S. Citizenship and successful completion of a thorough background investigation. * Residency: Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years (waiver possibilities exist). * Successfully complete a one-year probationary period upon appointment.
