Summary

Seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst to provide critical border security analysis, technical advice, and policy compliance for CBP.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst to provide critical support for border security operations.

  • *Core Responsibilities:**
  • Provide expert technical advice, analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of intelligence information.
  • Ensure all intelligence analysis processes and products adhere to Customs and Border Protection legal authorities, policies, and guidelines.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of border security threats to contribute to short and long-term planning.
  • Compile and exploit both unclassified and classified information sources and reporting.
  • Identify, review, and evaluate large volumes of sensitive and complex information to support strategic, operational, and tactical operations.
  • *Requirements & Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, performing duties similar to those outlined above. This includes paid and unpaid experience.
  • **Eligibility:** Must meet all qualification and Time in Grade requirements by the specified deadline. Your resume must clearly detail how you meet these experience requirements.
  • **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory for employment with CBP, a federal law enforcement agency. This includes screening for criminal convictions and drug use.
  • **Residency:** Applicants not currently employed by CBP must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government service (military/civilian), dependents, study abroad, or government-supporting contractors/interns.
  • **Probationary Period:** New federal employees must serve a one-year probationary period.
  • **Political Appointee Disclosure:** Current or former political appointees must disclose this information.
