Summary
Seeking an IT Specialist (Cybersecurity) to diagnose, mitigate, and manage system vulnerabilities, and analyze IT security policies.
We are seeking an IT Specialist (Cybersecurity) to manage and enhance our IT security posture. This role involves comprehensive vulnerability management, security policy analysis, and providing technical support.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Diagnose and resolve system vulnerabilities.
- Analyze IT hardware/software security problems and database issues.
- Develop and analyze IT security reports and vulnerability management scans.
- Identify, report, mitigate, and resolve system vulnerabilities using various tools.
- Analyze IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Potentially teach computer skills and application usage to staff.

Education or Experience:**
- **Education:** A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, IT Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in one of these fields that required application/system/network development.
- **Experience:** Demonstrate the following four IT competencies:

Specialized Experience:**
- One year of experience equivalent to the next lower federal grade level, specifically in IT or IT-related work. Examples include diagnosing vulnerabilities, teaching computer skills, or analyzing security/database problems.
- *3. Selective Placement Factor (MUST POSSESS):**
- **Knowledge and technical experience with IT hardware and software configurations**, providing a strong foundation for IT security techniques.
- **Experience developing and analyzing IT security reports and vulnerability management scans.**
- **Experience identifying, reporting, mitigating, and resolving system vulnerabilities** using hardware and software tools.
- **Experience analyzing IT security policies, standards, and procedures.**
