Summary
Lead federal privacy compliance and incident management, ensuring robust data safeguards and policy adherence within a law enforcement agency.
We are seeking a skilled Privacy professional to ensure compliance and manage incidents within a federal law enforcement agency.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Facilitate editorial processes for privacy compliance documentation and incident management, including content, deadlines, workflow, and approvals.
- Lead efforts to establish and maintain robust privacy and information-sharing safeguards and policies.
- Ensure business processes and information-sharing arrangements strictly comply with legal privacy requirements.
- Address critical privacy issues and continuously develop operational processes for privacy compliance and incident management.
- Initiate investigations and manage the intake and documentation for alleged and confirmed privacy incidents.
- *Qualifications:**
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, performing duties similar to those listed above.
- Current federal employees must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade) by November 28, 2025.
- *Additional Requirements:**
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. (Exceptions may apply for U.S. government service or sponsored study abroad programs).
- **Probationary Period:** Serve a one-year probationary period upon initial federal appointment.
