Job Description

Summary

Lead high-tech aviation/maritime engineering projects, providing acquisition support, analysis, and development expertise for advanced sensor technologies.

Join our team to contribute to complex, high-technology projects in aviation, maritime, and domain awareness. This role involves engineering support across the entire acquisition lifecycle for advanced sensor technologies.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Evaluate, review, and analyze intricate high-technology projects related to aviation, maritime, and domain technologies.
  • Provide technical support, research, and analysis for the development, acquisition, logistics, and fielding of advanced maritime, aviation, domain awareness, and sensor technologies.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive program plans and technical reports.
  • Oversee the development, testing, procurement, fielding, support, and maintenance of specialized maritime, aviation, domain awareness, and sensor technologies.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • **Education:** A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or a combination of education and experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of engineering principles. This includes:
* Professional Engineer (PE), Engineer Intern (EI), or Engineer in Training (EIT) registration/licensure. * Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination. * At least 60 semester hours in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences. * A Bachelor's Degree in a related scientific field (e.g., engineering technology, physics, computer science) with at least one year of professional engineering experience under supervision.
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, performing duties similar to those described above, focusing on evaluating, managing, and supporting high-technology acquisition projects.
  • *Additional Requirements:**
  • Successful completion of a background investigation.
  • Meet U.S. residency requirements (3 of the last 5 years in the U.S., with exceptions).
  • New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
