## General Attorney (Annuitant Rehire)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Attorney to provide expert legal analysis and client services within a federal agency. This role involves tackling complex and novel legal issues, advising diverse stakeholders, and contributing to critical program offices.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Conduct in-depth legal analysis of complex issues, producing high-quality written work.
  • Provide sound legal judgment and tailored advice to law enforcement, policymakers, attorneys, and senior leadership.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple assignments effectively, working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Deliver stellar client service, demonstrating initiative, decisiveness, and professionalism.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Bar Membership:** Active member in good standing of the bar of a U.S. state, territory, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • **Legal Expertise:** Proven ability to efficiently analyze complex legal issues, exercise sound judgment, and provide clear legal counsel.
  • **Communication & Interpersonal Skills:** Superior written and oral advocacy skills with the ability to tailor communications to various audiences.
  • **Professional Attributes:** Detail-oriented, highly organized, decisive, reliable, and capable of functioning independently and as part of a team.
  • *Important Eligibility Requirements:**
  • Applicants **must be retired** on or before the opening date of this announcement.
  • Must be a **CSRS or FERS annuitant** (excluding early voluntary and buyout retirements).
  • This position is for reemployment under a non-status, not-to-exceed term appointment with an approved dual compensation offset waiver. Qualified reemployed annuitants receive full annuity and full Federal salary, and are eligible for annual/sick leave and overtime.
