Summary
Design and build cloud-based user interfaces for U.S. Federal agencies, requiring UX/UI expertise and a Secret clearance.
AWS is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer and UX/UI Designer to empower U.S. Federal agencies with innovative cloud computing solutions. This role involves designing and building user-friendly interfaces for scalable cloud applications, leveraging advanced AI capabilities and data insights.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and deploy user interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
- Collaborate with scientists and application developers to create novel technical solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their vision, gather requirements, and address pain points.
- Independently iterate on UI design and functionality with customers, delivering impactful user experiences.
- Support UI development, including custom scripting and integration with backend components.
- Contribute to application testing and present solutions to diverse audiences.
- *Basic Qualifications:**
- **Citizenship & Clearance:** Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- **Experience:**
- **Work Environment:** This is not a remote position; expected to work from office or customer sites at least 1+ day per week.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience and technical expertise in cloud computing technologies (design and implementation).
- Proven experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale, or recent hands-on infrastructure experience (network, compute, storage, virtualization).
- 4+ years building infrastructure for hosting and serving applications at scale, including synchronous and asynchronous components.
- 2+ years building backend infrastructure that integrates with frontend systems.
- Strong design skills with the ability to create visually appealing user interfaces.
- Experience building interfaces compliant with accessibility standards, including Section 508 and eReader compatibility.
