AWS is hiring a Frontend Engineer & UX/UI Designer to innovate cloud computing solutions for U.S. Federal agencies. This role involves designing and building scalable user interfaces, integrating with backend services, and directly collaborating with customers to define application experiences.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Design and develop intuitive user experiences and interfaces (UX/UI) for cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate with scientists, developers, and customers to gather requirements and iterate on designs.
• Develop and deploy UIs, including custom scripting and backend integration.
• Support application testing and present solutions to broader audiences.
• Serve as a customer-facing consultant, guiding federal agencies through the design process.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• 4+ years experience in UX/UI design (e.g., UX Designer, Product Designer).
• 3+ years non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years utilizing design tools like Figma or Sketch for interactive mock-ups/wireframes.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
• **Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.**
• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Experience with cloud computing technologies (design and implementation).
• Track record of leading design, development, and deployment of large-scale business software.
• 4+ years building infrastructure to host and serve applications at scale.
• 2+ years building backend infrastructure that integrates with frontend.
• Strong design skills with a focus on visually appealing and accessible (e.g., Section 508) user interfaces.
• *Location & Work Environment:**
• This is not a remote position; expected to work from an AWS office or customer site 1+ days/week.
• *Compensation:**
• The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200 to $204,300 annually, depending on market location, skills, and experience. AWS offers a comprehensive total compensation package including equity and benefits.
