Seeking a GS-13 Financial Specialist to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and ensure compliance for a federal agency.
## Financial Management Specialist (GS-13)
Join a federal agency in a critical financial management role, focusing on budget operations, data analysis, and compliance.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate financial data using budget principles to prepare comprehensive reports.
- Communicate financial management and budgeting recommendations to senior leadership.
- Conduct reviews and audits of financial programs, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert analytical and interpretive advice on financial transactions and program execution.
- Develop reporting tools that offer managers clear insights into fund status and obligations.
- **Experience:** Minimum of one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, specifically in financial data evaluation, reporting, budget communication, program auditing, and financial analysis. Your resume must clearly detail this experience.
- **Time in Grade:** Current federal employees must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at GS-12 or equivalent) by September 18, 2025.
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory.
- **U.S. Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Specific exceptions may apply for U.S. government-related work abroad.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
- **CTAP/ICTAP:** Eligible candidates must achieve a minimum score of 85 and submit supporting documentation.
