## Construction Project Cost Estimator/Engineer (Federal)
We are seeking experienced Construction Project Cost Estimators/Engineers to contribute to DoD construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation, regulatory compliance, and project optimization.
### Responsibilities:
- Apply comprehensive engineering knowledge to DoD construction project cost estimating.
- Develop and manage various cost products: price quotes, quantity take-offs, construction estimates, schedules, and work plans.
- Analyze and interpret complex technical information, contractor proposals, and designs to identify cost discrepancies and optimization opportunities.
- Develop statements of work, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for work accomplished by service contracts.
- (For GS-11): Analyze reimbursable work authorizations and agency-initiated purchase orders.
- (For GS-11): Provide engineering oversight for construction or engineering contracts.
- Extensive practical knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, regulations, policies, and precedents related to construction project cost estimating within the DoD.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, labor costs, equipment requirements, and applicable building codes and standards.
- Skilled in analytical and diagnostic techniques for developing new or modified work methods to accurately estimate project costs.
- Ability to analyze, configure, test, and troubleshoot various engineering systems, including structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, chilled water, steam, and wastewater management systems.
#### For GS-9 Level:
- **One year of specialized experience** (equivalent to GS-7 in the Federal service) demonstrating the ability to:
- **Master's degree** or two full years of graduate education.
