Job Description

Summary

GS-14 specialist managing emergency operations, continuity planning, and vital communication programs for a federal law enforcement agency.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a GS-14 specialist to manage critical emergency operations, continuity planning, and communications programs.

  • *Experience & Qualifications:**
  • Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, including:
* Working in a Tactical or Emergency Operations Center (EOC). * Developing plans and exercises for Continuity of Operations (COOP) / Continuity of Government (COG). * Establishing emergency communications programs.
  • Your resume must clearly detail how you meet these experience requirements.
  • Must meet all qualification requirements by August 26, 2025.
  • *Essential Requirements:**
  • Successfully pass a thorough background investigation, including checks on criminal history and drug use.
  • Complete a mandatory online assessment.
  • Meet U.S. residency requirements: physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for specific U.S. government-affiliated work or study abroad.
  • New federal employees must complete a one-year probationary period.
