Job Description
Summary
Seeking experienced Electronics Engineers (GS-12/13) to develop, test, and document electronic systems and resolve technical issues.
Join our team as an Electronics Engineer at the GS-12 or GS-13 level, contributing to the development and maintenance of critical electronic systems.
- *Basic Requirements:**
- **Education:** A professional engineering degree (Bachelor's or higher) from an ABET-accredited program, or a bachelor's degree in a related scientific field (e.g., engineering technology, physics, computer science) with at least one year of professional engineering experience under supervision.
- **Licensure/Certification (Alternative to Degree):**
- *Minimum Qualifications (Specialized Experience):**
- *For GS-12 (Starting Salary: $101,401):** One year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-11 level, including:
- Assisting in resolving engineering or scientific issues.
- Performing research and development of electronic systems and equipment.
- Assisting with project documentation (e.g., monthly updates, briefing books, official files).
- *For GS-13 (Starting Salary: $120,579):** One year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-12 level, including:
- Developing test and evaluation procedures for electronic systems and equipment.
- Preparing and/or reviewing electronics specifications and guides.
- Writing comprehensive project documentation (e.g., monthly updates, briefing books, official files).
- *Time-in-Grade Requirements (for Current/Former Federal Employees):**
- Applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which they are applying. Proof of eligibility (SF-50) is required.
