Summary

Seeking a GS-15 leader for strategic advisory, data analysis, and staff supervision at U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a highly experienced professional for a GS-15 level position.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide strategic advice and evaluate proposals, recommendations, and reports for senior management.
  • Collect and analyze data to support critical management decisions.
  • Review and assess policy issues and changes from various internal and external sources.
  • Supervise staff, establish goals, and oversee administrative processes and procedures.
  • *Qualifications & Requirements:**
  • **Specialized Experience:** One year of experience equivalent to the GS-14 level, performing duties similar to those listed above. Your resume *must* explicitly detail how you meet this requirement.
  • **Federal Employees:** Must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent).
  • **Experience:** All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.
  • **Background Investigation:** Requires a thorough background investigation due to CBP's federal law enforcement mission. This includes inquiries into criminal history and drug use.
  • **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. Government-related work or dependents.
  • **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
  • **Political Appointees:** Disclosure required if a current or former political appointee within the last 5 years.
