  • Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP) – an additional 25% of base salary plus locality pay.
  • Note: Reemployed annuitants are not eligible for additional retirement coverage (other than Social Security) or TSP contributions. This opportunity is open to CSRS and FERS annuitants (excluding early voluntary/buyout retirements) until June 30, 2028.*
  • *Responsibilities:**

As a GS-13 Criminal Investigator, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading complex investigations across areas like narcotics, money laundering, financial crimes, human trafficking, fraud, international trade, network intrusion, counterterrorism, and general criminal activities.

  • Building and maintaining strong inter-agency and private sector partnerships.
  • Developing and executing strategies for information collection and analysis in long-term criminal investigations.
  • Conducting advanced interviews and interrogations with suspects, witnesses, sources, and victims.
  • Preparing expert reports to support criminal actions.
  • Directing immigration-related law enforcement operations and investigations (e.g., worksite, visa overstays, immigration fraud).
  • *Requirements:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. This experience must demonstrate proficiency in the responsibilities listed above.
  • **Eligibility:** Must be a CSRS or FERS annuitant (specific exclusions apply as noted above).
