## Criminal Investigator (GS-12/13)

• *Key Responsibilities (GS-13 Level):**
• Lead all phases of complex criminal investigations, from planning to completion.
• Develop comprehensive investigative strategies, identify sources, and select appropriate methods.
• Plan and execute operations involving evidence purchase, searches, seizures, raids, and arrests.
• Promote information exchange and cultivate strong relationships with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Provide expert testimony in court proceedings and consult with prosecuting officials.
• Serve as a team leader, offering guidance and reviewing reports from junior investigators.
• *Requirements:**
• *For GS-13:**
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, performing the duties listed above independently.
• *For GS-12:**
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, assisting with the duties listed above.
• Specialized experience includes paid, unpaid, and volunteer work.*
