## Criminal Investigator (Special Agent) - Reemployed Annuitant Opportunity
We are seeking experienced CSRS and FERS annuitants to serve as Criminal Investigators (Special Agents). This unique opportunity includes a dual compensation offset waiver, allowing you to receive both your full annuity and full federal salary.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent inspections, enforcement activities, and compliance evaluations for various investigative activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on conflicting interests and adverse situations.
- Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and provide briefings to officials.
- Perform onsite interviews, particularly concerning unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- **Applicant Type:** Must be a current CSRS or FERS annuitant.
- **Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, performing duties such as stakeholder collaboration, incident reporting, interviewing, and investigative inspections.
- **Physical Demands:** Requires moderate to arduous physical exertion including walking, standing, firearm use, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity, good vision (with or without correction), and specific hearing standards (max 35 decibels at 1000, 2000, 3000 Hz) are essential.
- Full federal salary in addition to your full annuity.
- Annual and sick leave (for full-time and part-time schedules).
- Eligibility for overtime (on a full-time schedule).
- Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP) and an additional 25% of base salary (added to locality pay).
- This is a 4-year, non-status, term appointment in the competitive service.
- Appointment not to exceed 4 years or one day before your 60th birthdate, whichever comes first.
- The dual compensation waiver is approved through December 31, 2028. Appointments extending beyond this date may be subject to salary offset if the waiver is not renewed.
- Additional retirement coverage (beyond Social Security).
- TSP Contributions.
- Annual, sick leave, or holiday pay (for intermittent work schedules).
- Only one appointment per job series is permitted.
