Summary
Seeking experienced GS-13/14 Criminal Investigators to conduct complex investigations combating illicit activities, requiring specialized experience and assessments.
This promotional opportunity is for current and former GS-13 and GS-14 ICE Criminal Investigators seeking a GS-14 position.
- *About the Role:**
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct broad-range investigations and associated enforcement actions.
- Evaluate complex situations and make critical decisions.
- Present investigative findings and prepare legal documents.
- Contribute to investigations with increasing independence and authority.
- Collaborate with and influence law enforcement partners.
- Participate in interagency, multi-jurisdictional, and international investigations.
- Demonstrate flexibility across diverse investigative programs and assignments.
- *Qualifications:**
- One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level (or equivalent) performing duties as outlined above.
- Certain positions may require additional screening, including a national security polygraph.
- Overseas assignments may be available, with various allowances and pre-deployment requirements.

- **Phase II: Supervisory Situational Judgment Test (SSJT) (Sept 4 - Sept 11, 2025)**

- *Note for Non-Competitive Candidates:** Former GS-1811-14s must apply but are exempt from assessments. Former and current GS-14s in other job series must apply and complete all assessments.
- *Additional Information:**
- Volunteer experience through National Service programs or other organizations is credited as qualifying experience.
