Job Description

Summary

Manage and implement employee wellness and peer support programs for law enforcement professionals.

Join our team to develop and manage employee wellness and peer support programs for professionals in challenging law enforcement environments. This role focuses on strategic planning, program implementation, and performance monitoring to support staff well-being.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide essential peer support and employee wellness services to employees in law enforcement settings.
  • Establish and execute comprehensive strategic plans for wellness programs, aligning with national and local initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain program information systems, utilizing data for performance reporting and adjustments.
  • Design, plan, organize, and direct programs specifically tailored to meet the diverse wellness needs of law enforcement personnel.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • **Education & Foundational Experience:**
* A Bachelor's Degree including at least 24 semester hours in behavioral or social sciences (e.g., Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Counseling). * or a combination of education (with 24 behavioral/social science hours) and equivalent experience gained in areas such as correctional/criminal justice casework, counseling requiring diagnostic/treatment planning, or social rehabilitation.
  • **Specialized Experience:**
* Minimum of one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the next lower federal grade level, providing the skills to successfully perform this role. This experience typically includes: * Providing peer support and/or employee wellness services in a law enforcement setting (e.g., correctional, police, residential, or detention facility). * Developing strategic plans for employee wellness programs. * Managing information systems for program performance and adjustments. * Planning, developing, and implementing employee wellness initiatives in law enforcement. * Designing, planning, organizing, or directing peer support or employee wellness programming.
