Job Description
Summary
Lead and manage correctional programs, investigations, and administrative oversight with specialized experience.
This role requires a highly experienced professional to manage and oversee critical aspects of correctional programs, focusing on administrative, supervisory, and investigative functions.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Direct and manage correctional programs or major program phases.
- Lead investigations, prepare comprehensive reports for high-level officials, and analyze findings.
- Develop and revise institutional policies, procedures, and program statements.
- Provide expert technical assistance and guidance on investigative matters to field personnel.
- Supervise and train staff, evaluate program effectiveness, and ensure high operational standards.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to a lower grade level, directly involving correctional programs or administrative/supervisory duties within a correctional environment.
- **Correctional Expertise:** Demonstrated thorough knowledge of correctional techniques, institutional policies, programs, regulations, and inmate custody, treatment, and release issues.
- **Administrative & Supervisory Skills:** Proven ability to successfully perform administrative and supervisory duties, including training subordinates, coordinating activities, evaluating performance, and maintaining high work standards.
- **Investigative Acumen:** Extensive knowledge of investigative procedures, evidence handling, questioning strategies, employee rights, legal considerations, and ethics.
- **Interpersonal Skills:** Ability to effectively interact with inmates and associates in a correctional setting.
