Correctional Program Specialist (Special Agent)

We are seeking a highly experienced professional for an administrative or supervisory role within a correctional program. This position requires substantial involvement with correctional techniques and the ability to effectively manage staff and operations.

• *Key Requirements:**
• **Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the next lower grade level) in a correctional program, demonstrating:

* Thorough knowledge of correctional techniques and inmate management (custody, treatment, training, release). * Ability to work effectively with inmates and associates in a correctional environment. * Proven success in performing supervisory or administrative duties, including understanding institutional problems. * Comprehensive understanding of an institution's internal policies, programs, regulations, and procedures. * Experience in training subordinates, coordinating activities, directing functions, evaluating program effectiveness, and maintaining high work standards. * Experience gained in an administrative position or in directing/assisting an entire correctional program or a major phase.

• **Examples of Qualifying Experience Include:**

* Conducting investigations into allegations of staff misconduct. * Applying various investigative tools (e.g., polygraph, body wiring, telephone monitoring, hidden cameras). * Utilizing investigative procedures, handling evidence, and employing questioning strategies. * Analyzing and drafting revisions to policies pertaining to investigations.
