Correctional Program Officer (Administrator Program Review Branch)

Join our team in a pivotal supervisory or administrative role within a correctional program. We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee critical operations, manage staff, and ensure the effective delivery of correctional services.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Supervise and administer correctional programs and operations.
• Direct and coordinate staff activities, including training, performance evaluation, and maintaining high work standards.
• Manage issues related to inmate custody, treatment, training, and release.
• Ensure thorough adherence to institutional policies, programs, regulations, and procedures.
• Provide guidance and resolve employee work and administrative concerns.
• Identify program deficiencies and recommend policy changes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Review program evaluations to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
• *Qualifications:**
• **Experience:** A minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level equivalent to the next lower grade in a correctional environment.
• **Specialized Experience Must Include:**

* Substantial involvement with correctional programs and thorough knowledge of correctional techniques. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with inmates and associates. * Proven success in performing supervisory or administrative duties. * Understanding of challenges in inmate custody, treatment, training, and release. * Comprehensive knowledge of correctional institution internal policies and procedures. * Direct experience in training subordinates, coordinating functions, evaluating program effectiveness, and maintaining high standards.

• This experience should have been gained in an administrative position or through successfully directing/assisting a major correctional program.
• **Education:** There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for this position.
