## Contract Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to manage complex contract acquisitions, from strategic planning through negotiation and award. This role involves guiding program officials and leading critical negotiations for large-scale procurements.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with program managers to identify and plan large-scale acquisitions (e.g., components, equipment, support services).
  • Advise program officials on procurement objectives and assist in the preparation of Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Develop, coordinate, and lead complex contract negotiations to establish pricing and terms.
### Required Qualifications:
  • **Experience:**
* Minimum of four (4) years of experience in contracting or related positions. * At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level (or equivalent), demonstrating the ability to independently perform the core duties of a Contract Specialist.
  • **Education:**
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. * Must include or be supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
  • **Certification:**
* Must possess or be able to obtain Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Professional or an equivalent DoD Contracting Professional Certification. New hires without certification must meet FAC-C (Professional) requirements.
