## Contracting Specialist (GS-14)

We are seeking an experienced Contracting Specialist at the GS-14 level to manage complex federal procurement and contract administration. This role involves expertise across the entire contract lifecycle, providing critical support and guidance.

### Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement instruments for diverse supplies and services.
• Manage all phases of the contract lifecycle, including orders and basic ordering agreements.
• Perform comprehensive contract administration, property management, and closeout actions.
• Apply various contracting methods, negotiation techniques, and contract types.
• Conduct pre-award, post-award, and price/cost analysis for complex procurements.
• Provide expert consultation to management on acquisition planning and development.
• Develop local policies and procedures for a wide range of contracting actions.

### Requirements:

• **Specialized Experience:** One year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in federal service, directly related to the responsibilities listed above. This includes developing procurement instruments, managing contract lifecycles, and performing complex price/cost analysis.
• **Education:** A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree is required for individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000.

* *Exemptions:* Current DoD civilian personnel or military members who occupied GS-1102 (or equivalent) positions on or before September 30, 2000, are exempt from this education requirement.

• **Transcripts:** Failure to provide official transcripts will result in ineligibility.
• All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be considered.
