Summary
Seeking a GS-13 specialist to develop strategic policies, analyze intelligence, and advise on critical federal operations.
This GS-13 level position requires a seasoned professional to drive strategic initiatives and provide expert guidance within a federal agency. The role involves high-level policy development, critical operational analysis, and extensive intelligence work.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement agency-wide policies, procedures, and strategic approaches.
- Provide expert technical advice and recommendations to senior management on critical operations.
- Influence the interpretation of laws, case law, and significant program modifications.
- Collect and analyze operational and strategic intelligence from diverse sources including federal, state, local, military, foreign, financial, and technology sectors.
- Formulate innovative solutions to address identified operational weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, performing duties as outlined above.
- Eligibility for Secondary Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) or Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) Special Retirement Coverage, requiring prior permanent service in a primary/rigorous CBPO/LEO position.
- Meet Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have 52 weeks at GS-12).
- Disclosure required for current or former political appointees.
- *Pre-Employment Screening:**
- Successful completion of a thorough background investigation.
- Pass a polygraph examination (potential for reciprocity or veteran waivers).
- Complete a medical screening.
- Pass a pre-employment physical fitness test.
- Current and former federal employees may be required to serve a probationary period.
