Job Description

Summary

Seeking Budget Analysts (GS-11/12) to perform budget analysis, monitoring, forecasting, and policy interpretation for government programs.

Join our team as a Budget Analyst (GS-11 or GS-12) and contribute to critical financial planning and oversight for government programs. We are seeking candidates with strong analytical skills to manage and interpret budgetary policies.

  • *Salary Range:**
  • GS-11: Starting at $84,601
  • GS-12: Starting at $101,401
  • *Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:**
  • *For GS-11 Level:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, including:
* Reviewing budget requests and justifications for policy compliance. * Analyzing budget estimates for mathematical accuracy and propriety. * Assisting in developing budget estimates for new or modified programs.
  • **or Education:** A Ph.D., equivalent doctoral degree, LL.M., or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a relevant field.
  • **or Combination:** An equivalent combination of specialized experience and graduate education.
  • *For GS-12 Level:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, including:
* Monitoring budget execution for major program areas. * Interpreting budgetary policies and coordinating resource management. * Forecasting budgetary trends and activities. * Resolving complex budget issues and preparing justifications for funding adjustments.

  • *General Requirements:**
  • All qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
  • Qualifying experience includes both paid and unpaid (volunteer) work.
  • *For Current/Former Federal Employees:**
  • **Time-in-Grade:** Must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level (e.g., GS-09 for GS-11, GS-11 for GS-12) within the last 52 weeks.
  • **Proof of Status:** Required to submit SF-50, 'Notice of Personnel Action,' demonstrating proof of status, time-in-grade eligibility, and position details.
