Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented Budget Analyst/Specialist to manage, analyze, and advise on federal financial planning and execution.
Join a federal agency as a Budget Analyst/Specialist, supporting critical financial planning and execution. This role involves analyzing budget estimates, managing funding documents, and advising leadership on resource allocation.
- *Key Responsibilities May Include:**
- Preparing funding and budget documents, particularly related to user fees.
- Conducting detailed financial analyses and reporting for quarterly reviews.
- Participating in source selection teams and leading special studies or projects.
- Developing budgetary plans, policies, and guidance based on complex legislative and regulatory decisions.
- Analyzing budget execution for national programs and recommending resource reallocation to senior leaders.
- Reviewing, consolidating, and revising budget estimates and execution plans from agency components.
- *Experience Requirements:**
- **GS-12:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, demonstrating proficiency in assisting with budget document preparation, financial reporting, project participation, and advising managers on project progress and findings.
- **GS-13:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, focusing on reviewing and analyzing national-level user fee budgets, interpreting complex financial policies, making resource reallocation recommendations, and independently analyzing budgets and programs.
- *General Requirements:**
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Successful completion of a thorough background investigation, as required by this federal law enforcement agency.
- Residency: Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. (Waivers may be available for specific circumstances).
- Meeting all qualification and Time in Grade requirements by 11/07/2025.
- Your resume must explicitly detail how you meet the specialized experience requirements.
- New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
