Summary

Experienced GS-13 Law Enforcement professional to support Border Patrol operations, requiring specialized LEO experience, Spanish fluency, and federal clearances.

Join our team as a GS-13 Law Enforcement professional, supporting critical Border Patrol operations through strategic analysis and project management. This role requires significant law enforcement experience and specialized skills.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Collaborate with Border Patrol managers to define and achieve operational objectives.
  • Analyze program data and metrics, recommending best practices and improvements.
  • Provide essential support to enforcement operations, intelligence gathering, and administrative logistics.
  • Generate data-driven reports to inform budget formulation and strategic decisions.
  • *Qualifications & Experience:**
  • Minimum one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level (or equivalent) in law enforcement or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability in law enforcement duties, including making arrests, exercising sound judgment with firearms, engaging effectively with individuals/groups, rapid decision-making, and developing informant networks.
  • Mandatory prerequisite of prior rigorous/primary law enforcement or equivalent non-federal experience, unless currently in a permanent Secondary LEO retirement-covered position.
  • *Essential Requirements:**
  • **Language:** Must be proficient in speaking and reading Spanish.
  • **Firearms:** Ability to meet and maintain federal firearms qualifications; strict disqualifiers apply (e.g., felony convictions, domestic violence).
  • **Medical:** Successfully complete a comprehensive medical screening.
  • **Background:** Pass a thorough background investigation, including a polygraph examination (reciprocity or waivers may apply for certain federal employees/veterans).
  • **Retirement:** This is a Secondary Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) retirement-covered position. Specific federal service conditions must be met for eligibility.
  • **Federal Employees:** Meet applicable Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at next lower grade).
