Assistant General Counsel, Energy, Installation & Enviornment (Ei&E)

This Senior Executive Service (SES) position seeks a dedicated legal professional committed to enhancing the efficiency of the Federal government and upholding the United States Constitution.

• *About the Role:**

Lead critical legal functions within the Federal government, applying expert judgment and leadership to complex challenges. This role demands a commitment to public service, strategic resource management, and the ability to drive high-quality legal outcomes.

• *Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas:**
• Analyze, organize, and present complex factual and legal matters for various audiences.
• Provide expert legal counsel and guidance across diverse areas including environmental, real estate, military installations, federal employment, intellectual property, and fiscal law.
• Apply extensive knowledge of Department of the Navy (DON) and Department of Defense (DoD) organizational relationships, missions, and procedures.
• Strategically manage resources, drive efficiency, and lead teams to achieve organizational goals.
• Cultivate a high-performance, high-accountability culture, inspiring and guiding personnel.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• *Technical Qualifications (TQs):**
• Proven ability to analyze and organize complex legal and factual matters for oral and written presentation, demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and effective client relationships.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in one or more of the following substantive legal areas:

* Business and Commercial Law * Real and Personal Property Law * Environmental and Natural Resources Law/Policy * Cultural Resource and Historic Preservation Law * Laws and Policies for Federal Real Estate Management (acquisition, disposal) * Laws and Regulations for Military Installation Closure/Realignment * Installation Management and Military Construction Law * Energy Law and Policy * Safety Law and Policy * Federal Employment Law * Fiscal Law * Intellectual Property Law * Associated Litigation

• Knowledge of DON and DoD organizational relationships, missions, and procedures.
• *Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) - for New SES Appointees:**
