Summary
Oversee program performance, budget, and issue resolution for U.S. Customs and Border Protection acquisition initiatives.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a Program/Acquisition Management Specialist to oversee and manage critical program progress, performance, and budget initiatives.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Review program progress, measure performance, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost.
- Provide input to senior acquisition management regarding budget and program execution status.
- Resolve issues based on performance trends, forecasts, schedule, budget, manpower, and quality problems.
- Inform CBP leadership on program progress, issues, resolutions, and cost impacts.
- *Qualifications & Requirements:**
- **Experience:** Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, performing the duties outlined above. (Relevant volunteer experience counts.)
- **Grade Level:** GS-13.
- **Federal Employees:** Must meet Time-in-Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent).
- **Background Investigation:** Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, including checks for criminal history and drug use, as required by this federal law enforcement agency.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least 3 of the last 5 years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government-related work/dependents, or U.S.-affiliated study abroad.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
