BAE Systems seeks a Full Stack Developer with an active Top-Secret clearance to build and maintain a Federal Government website.
BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to design, develop, secure, and maintain a critical Federal Government Web Site. This role involves managing the entire application lifecycle, from conception to deployment and sustainment.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and maintain robust web applications, ensuring seamless integration of frontend and backend systems.
- Design and implement responsive, high-performance user interfaces using modern web technologies.
- Build secure and efficient server-side logic, including RESTful API development and infrastructure management.
- Manage database design, implementation, and optimization (e.g., SQL Server), ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Automate deployment processes, manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, and implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Enforce security best practices, conduct code reviews, and implement authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
- Perform comprehensive testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and troubleshoot issues to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions meeting project requirements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve development practices.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- **Clearance:** Active Top-Secret clearance is mandatory.
- **Frontend:** 5+ years with React (JavaScript/TypeScript), HTML5, CSS3, responsive UI, and WCAG 2.1/Section 508 accessibility.
- **Backend:** 3-5 years with Node.js (or .NET/Java) building RESTful APIs, implementing authentication/authorization, and secure data handling.
- **Database:** Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (T-SQL, performance tuning, migrations, backups).
- **Web Server & CDN:** Hands-on experience with IIS 7+ and Akamai CDN configuration.
- **Cloud/Infrastructure:** Experience with Azure services (App Service, Azure Functions, ARM/Terraform) and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- **Version Control & CI/CD:** Proficient with Git (CLI) and pipeline design using Azure DevOps (or GitLab CI).
- **Security:** Solid understanding of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and data encryption.
- **Accessibility:** Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1; familiarity with accessibility testing tools.
- **Automated Testing:** Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Selenium, or similar).
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash) for environment provisioning.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Splunk, New Relic).
- Prior federal government web development experience.
- Additional security certifications (e.g., SEC+, CISM, CEH).
- Infrastructure as Code experience beyond ARM (Terraform, Bicep).
- Familiarity with the US Web Design System (USWDS).
- Ability to mentor junior staff and lead code review sessions.
- *Compensation & Benefits:**
- **Salary Range:** $95,106 - $161,680 annually.
