Web Developer

Leidos is seeking a fully cleared, experienced Full-Stack Web Developer to support an enterprise IT program. This role focuses on user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, development, and maintenance of Joomla and WordPress websites for a community-wide client base.

• *Responsibilities:**
• Lead full-stack web development, specializing in UX/UI design for Joomla and WordPress websites.
• Design, develop, and maintain tailored Joomla and WordPress sites, ensuring technical soundness and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage project schedules, task workloads, and system maintenance independently.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define requirements.
• Conduct focus groups and user testing to inform UX design; develop intuitive information architecture, conceptual wireframes, and prototypes.
• Design user interfaces (UI) and apply industry-standard UX methodologies.
• Develop, test, and deploy websites compliant with Section 508 standards and WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
• Provide recommendations on multimedia, content, and features based on target audiences.
• Document website requirements and provide regular status reports.
• Interface directly with customers as a creative and technical SME.

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• *Required Experience, Skills, and Education:**
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven expertise in Joomla and WordPress site information architecture, visual design, and administration.
• Demonstrated experience with end-user focused UX methodologies, including focus groups, user testing, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Strong background in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Joomla websites, including custom extensions, modules, components, plugins, and templates.
• Proficiency with Gantry, Helix, and T4 Joomla frameworks.
• Extensive experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting WordPress and database-driven websites.
• Expertise in Section 508 compliance, WCAG 2.1 standards, web accessibility auditing, remediation, and testing with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText, Lighthouse, WAVE, ARC Tool).
• Understanding and implementation of Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA).
• Proficiency in HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and YAML.
• Ability to manage multiple web development projects concurrently.
• Experience translating graphic, interactive, UX, and UI designs into pixel-perfect responsive websites and applications.
• Demonstrated ability to customize out-of-the-box plugins and ensure cross-browser/platform compatibility.
• *Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:**
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS) or Knowledge Management Systems (KMS).
• Proficiency in implementing complex visual styles via HTML5 or Bootstrap.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining user authentication methods.
• SharePoint Site Collection Administration (SCA) experience.
• Experience with authoring or scripting languages, including PHP.
• Familiarity with preprocessor scripting language tools (SASS or LESS).
• Experience working within a working capital fund business enterprise.
