Summary

Manage web content for USCG.mil and MYCG, focusing on compliance, accessibility, optimization, and supporting web migration efforts.

Vistra is seeking a Web Content Manager to support the U.S. Coast Guard Office of Governmental Public Affairs (CG-092).

This role is essential for overseeing content on USCG.mil and MYCG, ensuring compliance with Coast Guard standards, maintaining a consistent professional appearance, and enhancing user experience. You will play a key role in web governance, content strategy, and digital accessibility.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Manage and respond to web communications service requests.
  • Oversee web content manager permissions.
  • Contribute to web migration planning and implementation, including editing and uploading content.
  • Create and oversee agency content briefs, aligning with communication objectives.
  • Test, monitor, and optimize content for maximum engagement.
  • Identify and resolve web accessibility (Section 508) issues.
  • Conduct website audits, identify obsolete pages, and manage content archiving.
  • Develop and manage content on SharePoint.
  • Provide monthly user data reports and recommend website updates, revisions, and content archiving.
  • Develop and update website content, including designing subsites, microsites, and webpages.
  • Recommend and support Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Serve as backup for leadership web publications and create page redirects.
  • Identify and propose modernization and process improvements for web design and migration.
  • *Requirements:**
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Media, or a related field with at least four (4) years of relevant experience, **or** a Master’s degree or higher in a related field with at least two (2) years of experience.
  • Proven ability to write and edit web content using plain language.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal contract position.
