Job Description
Summary
Develop and apply national security and arms transfer policies for defense programs and weapons systems sales.
This role involves developing and applying national security and arms transfer policies within defense programs, focusing on weapons systems sales and technology transfer.
- *Responsibilities & Requirements:**
- *For GS-13 (equivalent to one year at GS-12 federal service):**
- Formulate or assist with policies for weapons systems sales.
- Interpret and apply national security and arms transfer policy guidelines, considering technology transfer and overall policy objectives.
- Plan, schedule, organize, and conduct projects related to weapons policy.
- *For GS-14 (equivalent to one year at GS-13 federal service):**
- Develop, coordinate, and represent policies for weapon systems or defense-related programs.
- Interpret and apply national security and arms transfer policy guidelines, considering technology transfer and overall national policy objectives.
- Formulate policy and procedural recommendations for technology transfers and weapons sales, supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or other defense programs.
- Apply technological knowledge in areas such as Command and Control (C2), Electronic Warfare, Cyber, and/or Space systems.
- *General:**
- Qualifying experience includes both paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer service (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps). All relevant experience will be credited.
