AeroVironment is seeking a visionary Vice President of Strategic Marketing & Communications to lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communication strategies. This role is crucial for enhancing brand awareness, driving market engagement, and supporting overall business goals for a world-class defense company.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and manage strategic marketing campaigns that establish industry standards and build global brand awareness.
- Provide creative leadership, fostering collaboration across the organization.
- Translate branding and marketing strategies for products, verticals, and initiatives with stakeholders.
- Oversee and develop the marketing and communications department, focusing on team leadership, process optimization, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with Product Line Management and Business Development teams to deliver results-oriented campaigns across digital, brand, PR, product, content, and event marketing.
- Manage internal/external websites, social media, and internal communications for content, UX, and design.
- Draft and finalize executive communications, presentations, and media materials.
- Ensure consistent brand implementation across all stakeholder touchpoints.
- Plan media activities, prepare management for interviews, and develop press releases/Q&A.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of proven success in developing and managing brand strategies tied to business results.
- 15+ years in marketing and/or communications.
- 8+ years of experience supervising a marketing team.
- Deep understanding of traditional and digital media, learning products, and customer touchpoints.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, with strong project management skills.
- Experience using data to inform decisions and communicate findings effectively.
- Excellent oral and written communication, with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Advanced degree.
- Demonstrated competency in using data analysis and forecasting to optimize marketing spend.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and people successfully.
- Stays abreast of innovations in marketing and defense.
- *Compensation & Benefits:**
- **Salary Range:** $220,000 - $288,750
- **Benefits:** Medical, dental, vision, 401K with company matching, 9/80 work schedule, paid holiday shutdown.
- *Work Environment & Travel:**
- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Frequent sitting and standing, computer and telephone use.
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically for company and customer meetings.
- *ITAR Requirement:**
- This position requires access to ITAR/EAR regulated information. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) or obtain an export license. Current U.S. Citizenship may be required per contract.
