The Bill of Rights Institute, a nonpartisan nonprofit, seeks a Vice President of Marketing and Communications to lead strategic initiatives and drive engagement for civics and history education.

- Develop, implement, and manage a strategic marketing and communications plan.
- Lead media relations, proactively engaging print, radio, podcast, and television outlets.
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing marketing and communications team.
- Craft compelling collateral and messaging that tells the organization's story and builds affinity among key groups, including media and donors.
- Oversee brand building, digital, social media platforms, and multimedia campaigns.
- Measure and report on communications strategy effectiveness using KPIs.
- Ensure consistent message discipline across all organizational communications.
- *What You Bring (Qualifications):**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing and communications leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or business environment.
- Proven experience in building and mentoring marketing teams.
- Deep expertise in creating and executing disciplined communications strategies.
- Established contacts in news media and a track record of successful media placements across various formats.
- Successful history of working with C-suite executives to craft talking points, op-eds, and presentation materials.
- Strong project management skills, with experience collaborating seamlessly across multiple departments.
- Knowledge of design, digital, social media, and multimedia campaign implementation.
- Must be local to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
